nice buns!
Now before I automatically get docked points from all the women out there for the semi-sexist title of my introductory blog post, let me explain.
I am not a chauvinist pig.
If you had Jess’s buns last night, you would be wanting to tell the world it too! The truth was that the buns were the Pioneer Woman’s idea. Check out the recipe from the master of all blogger’s herself. The amazing thing is that we have been waiting until September 1st to go grocery shopping, and there is nothing in our house to eat. I have been a complainer for weeks yet, my sweet wife still has the ability to say, “there is always something!” So considering the lack of ingredients, I give credit to a number of places for our incredible dinner last night:
- Our next door neighbor works for Papa Johns pizza and you better believe he keeps us well stocked with pizza dough.
- The rolls are incredibly easy, and you can never go wrong with loads of butter, rosemary, and sea salt.
- My wife is extremely resourceful, modest, and can multitask around me like a black tornado across the western sky.
My sweet wife was home all day yesterday slaving over learning how the human heart works. What kind of valves pump what, how the left atrium flows with the right ventricle, making sure the aortic valve doesn’t conflict with the hemoglobin…you know the basics “wink” “wink”. Yet she still finds the time to whip up a little dish I now call pure goodness, and have it ready the minute I walk through the front door from work. It was a glorified pasta dish, with sauteed onions, steamed veggies, and Parmesan cheese sprinkled across the top. After pulling it out of the oven she finished it off with some crispy prosciutto to give it some crunch. She gives credit to our Le Creuset collection for the lack of dishes. Claiming, “you can do it all in one pan, from the stove-top, to the oven, to the fridge.” But I know she is just being modest. So without further ado…take a look at her buns!
You wouldn’t think that life could get a whole lot better but it did……
I had leftovers for my lunch!
See you soon!
