vintage science charts
For some of you moms out there you know all too well that it is back to school time. This time of year means department store shopping isles filled with rummaged over school supplies. It means watching your little ones walk through the doors of a classroom for the first time and officially seeing your baby grow up before your eyes. If your like me, it brings back memories of rainy Oregon mornings waiting in the kitchen window seat for the school bus to come. Or maybe, you have memories of the school nurse school calling and you get that irresistible urge to go rescue them from the “afternoon flu bug”.
So it is with my own back to school memories in mind, and vintage nostalgia on my heart, that I bring to you some wonderful design inspirations using vintage school charts. Enjoy the vintage eye candy!
Good luck to all students. Go get em’! As many of you may know, I myself will be starting block 4 of nursing school this week, so I will be getting very familiar with science charts and textbooks. Stay tuned for the introduction of someone new who may be stopping by often to say hello. He is interested in.. mid century furniture, new business ventures, architecture, out of the ordinary cheeses, and eco-friendly design. He dresses super cute and has humongous, unforgettable dimples! Any guesses?
Feel free to leave a comment and let us know of your favorite school memories from past or present. I would love to hear them!

Awesome posters. They totally remind me of being in school. I too remember those rainy Oregon days when the bus seemed to take ever so long.
My fav back to school memory was going to my friend’s house before school and changing our outfits 5 times before we were ready. Aww good ol’ school days.
Good luck at school this week!
Thats one of my favorite memories too!!! We would all trade and share everything! Even backpacks so they would match our outfits! I remember my mom would get so flustered when I would come home in different clothes!
